Reliable field power supply with ACB technology

Use a single-channel or four-channel power supply to reliably power the FOUNDATION fieldbus loop. These devices can be plugged in, which means they can be replaced quickly and flexibly. In addition, due to the symmetrical load of the power supply, ACB technology (Automatic Current Balancing) ensures a significant extension of the equipment life and maximum reliability for process applications.

Modular FOUNDATION Fieldbus device coupler system consists of three main devices: trunk module, coupler module and diagnostic module when needed. The trunk module forms a new fieldbus station. The module offers a variety of shielding options and integrated terminating resistors.

Fieldbus device couplers with one or two outputs have short-circuit protection to protect your network. The supply voltage of the modular system is sub-distributed through a connector that simply snaps onto the DIN rail.

For zone 2 installation, when connecting zone 0, 1 and 2 instruments in the same enclosure, the FB-MODULAR partition can be used to achieve intrinsically safe wiring clearance.

There are two versions of the on-site diagnostic module. One version is used in conjunction with modular DIN rail connectors, so complicated wiring can be saved. The other is equipped with a connection terminal block, through which you can connect other manufacturers' device couplers.

The integration of the control level is carried out through standard H1 communication and device management using DD (Device Description), EDDL (Electronic Device Description Language) and DTM (Device Type Manager).
